Gloo Nova in Battle Royale

Get ready for thrilling battles on a brand-new, Gloo-covered map!

“After Mr. Waggor’s Gloo experiment went awry, the entire Factory is now blanketed in Gloo—including the arsenals and airdrops! The good news? Mr. Waggor has crafted four unique Gloo Gadgets that can be attached to Gloo Walls. Choose your favorite gadget and dive into the action to help Mr. Waggor clear the Gloo and defeat your foes!”

Gloo Gadgets

During this event, players can select one of four Gloo Wall gadgets to enhance their gameplay. Each gadget provides a unique effect:

  • Lavish Gadget: Available by default. Deploying a Gloo Wall grants random rewards such as EP, in-match currency, or consumables. There’s a small chance to get powerful items like Active Skill Cards or Horizalines. Cooldown: 10s.
  • Wrecking Gadget: Unlockable through the event. This gadget increases damage to Gloo Walls by 50%. Destroying a Gloo Wall triggers an explosion that deals 30 damage to nearby enemies. Cooldown: 20s.
  • Scanner Gadget: Unlockable through the event. When equipped, the Gloo Wall can scan for enemies within 35m for 6 seconds and mark enemies within 10m for 2 seconds. Cooldown: 25s.
  • Defender Gadget: Unlockable through the event. Grants the Gloo Wall an additional 250 durability. If the equipped player is knocked down, a Gloo Wall with 150 durability will be deployed automatically in the direction of the incoming shot after a 0.6s delay (not available in Solo mode). Cooldown: 25s.

Gloo Arsenals and Airdrops

During the event, all arsenals are enveloped in Gloo. No keys are required; players simply need to break the Gloo to access the loot inside. Airdrops are also transformed by Gloo; players must smash through to retrieve the rewards. Breaking a Gloo Airdrop grants additional FF Coins.

Gloo Maker Special Events

  • Gloo Overload: Increases Gloo Wall carrying limit by 2 and boosts generation speed by 30%.

New Character

Lila

Gloo Artist

“From a young age, Lila has loved exploring the hidden corners of the city. Her curiosity led her to become a passionate street artist, using Gloo as her medium. When she met Mr. Waggor, who shares her enthusiasm for this gel-like substance, they instantly bonded and began experimenting together. In battles, Lila uses her Gloo technology to slow down enemies and vehicles with rifles, and she gains extra Gloo Walls when knocking down foes!”

Gloo Strike: When hitting enemies or vehicles with rifles, it reduces enemy movement speed by 10% or vehicle acceleration by 50% for 3 seconds. If an enemy is knocked down while decelerated, they freeze for up to 3 seconds, granting Lila 1 extra Gloo Wall and triggering a 10-second cooldown.

Character Rework

Andrew “the Fierce”

Prioritizing Collaborative Tactics

“Andrew was designed to promote teamwork for tactical advantages. However, his current high damage reduction has made one-on-one fights too enticing. To encourage team collaboration, we’re limiting this effect to within a 15m range.”

Wolf Pack:

  • Awakening: Armor damage reduction increased by 4%. Gain an additional 1% reduction for every teammate within 15m.

We’ve also updated the skill description for clarity: the more teammates nearby, the more damage reduction you gain!

Maximum HP-Related Adjustments

To enhance gameplay predictability, we are making adjustments to max HP across various skills and items. While armor provides damage reduction and Xayne offers extra HP, these combinations have caused confusion about enemies’ HP, leading to concerns over connection issues or damage bugs.

This patch introduces damage indicators for shield damage and implements max HP restrictions:

Xayne
Booyah the Xtreme Way!
“We’re converting the extra HP from Xayne’s skill into temporary Shield Points and enhancing her knockdown abilities.”

Xtreme Encounter: Enters the Xtreme state and gains 60 temporary Shield Points for 12 seconds. Each enemy knockdown restores these points back to 60 and resets the duration. Points are lost once the state ends. Cooldown: 75s.

Luqueta
Shield Points Instead of HP Boost
“The additional HP from Luqueta’s skill is now converted to Shield Points.”

Hat Trick: Each elimination increases max Shield Points permanently by 25. Max boost: 50. Effects reset upon elimination or round reset.

Shield Points-Related Adjustments

  • Vest HP Booster → Shield Booster: 30 HP → 30 Shield Points
  • Vest Enlarger: 30 HP → 30 Shield Points
  • Shield Points Recovery Speed: 10 Shield Points/s → 5 Shield Points/s
    • Applies to Antonio, Luqueta, Shield Booster, and Vest Enlarger.

Character Balance Adjustments

K
The King of EP
“In Battle Royale mode, consistent recovery of player attributes creates a sense of security. K enhances EP recovery per second and extends the EP conversion range to 15 meters for allies, matching the support abilities of J.Biebs and Olivia!”

Master of All:

  • Max EP increased by 50.
  • Jiu-jitsu Mode: Allies within 6m → 15m gain a 600% increase in EP conversion rate.
  • Psychology Mode: Recovery rate changed from 3 EP every 2s → 1s, up to 250 EP. Mode switch cooldown: 6s.

Orion
More Agile as a Hunter
“We previously restricted Orion’s movement speed, but the 20% reduction made it too easy for enemies to escape. We’re now easing this to enhance his chase potential.”

Crimson Crush: Replaces EP with 300 Crimson Energy. Activating protection consumes 200 Crimson Energy, allowing you to absorb 10 HP from foes within 5m for 3 seconds, during which movement speed decreases from 20% → 10%. Cooldown: 3s.

Maro
Sharp Eyes on the Prey!
“Maro has always been a top pick with sniper rifles, but he lacked versatility in skill combinations. This patch boosts his damage to marked enemies to encourage more diverse builds.”

Falcon Fervor: Damage increases with distance, up to 25%. Damage to marked enemies increased from 3.5% → 5%.

D-bee
Shoot-and-Run!
“D-bee’s agility allows him to fire while moving, but his speed hasn’t kept him safe in battles. We’re boosting his movement speed for better dodging.”

Bullet Beats: When firing while moving, movement speed increases from 30% → 50%, with accuracy boosted by 60%.

Map

Gloo Factory
Let’s Blow Up Some Gloo!
“The Factory is now engulfed in Gloo! View-blocking covers, extensive staircases, and multi-level platforms have transformed into destructible Gloo materials. It’s time to unleash chaos in the Gloo Factory!”

The Factory is now filled with destructible Gloo elements, providing a fresh battle environment. Some Gloo can be destroyed with bullets, throwables, and character skills, while others remain indestructible—be sure to recognize the difference!

Bermuda Minimap Rework

Crystal-Clear Information Display
“The Bermuda minimap has undergone a visual overhaul, enhancing readability. This will help you make faster, more accurate decisions during battles.”

We’ve adjusted terrain and building colors, reducing less important details like trees to streamline the visuals. Display effects for areas such as the High Tier Loot (Blue) Zone and UAV-Lite range have been optimized, and interactive icons have been standardized for better clarity.

Window Jump Optimizations (Except Kalahari)

No More Getting Stuck!

“We’ve all experienced it—jumping through a window only to get caught on the sill. That’s a thing of the past!”

  • Adjusted window sizes in select Bermuda buildings.
  • Optimized window jump mechanics across all maps except Kalahari, allowing players to vault through most windows seamlessly. Only in rare cases (unusual angles) will characters automatically crouch on the sill during a jump.

Other Map Adjustments

To enhance the competitive experience in CS mode, we’ve made further adjustments to high grounds in Bermuda:

  • Refined rooftop structures in Nurek Dam and Observatory.
  • Modified the two-story building in Sentosa, replacing the trash can near the cars and removing containers near the fences.

  • Hold the Charge button to dash forward, with a maximum distance of 6m.
  • Perform a slash at the end of the dash, dealing extra damage to Gloo Walls.

  • AC80: Damage +10%, Consecutive shot bonus -20%, Extra damage to shields +20%.

Woodpecker
“Woodpecker boasts decent fire rate and armor penetration compared to SKS and AC80, so we’ve reduced its damage slightly while keeping its strengths intact.”

  • Woodpecker: Damage -5%.

AK47
“AK47 is known for high damage and spread. We’ve improved its accuracy and armor penetration to enhance late-game performance.”

  • AK47: Accuracy +5%, Armor Penetration +10%, Headshot Damage +10%.

XM8
“XM8 stands out for its high precision and rate of fire. In this update, we’ve reduced its damage but maintained its battle stability.”

  • XM8: Damage -5%.

AUG
“AUG-III has dominated since becoming upgradable. We’ve decreased its armor penetration while increasing damage for better early performance.”

  • AUG: Damage +3%, Armor Penetration -5% (applies to AUG-I, II, III).

M4A1
“M4A1’s in-match performance has lagged, so we’ve increased its damage to make it a more popular choice in the late game.”

  • M4A1: Damage +6%, Consecutive shot bonus -8%.

M60
“M60’s high crouch precision and damage bonuses have caused balance issues. We’ve adjusted its upgrades so each now increases damage instead of consecutive shot bonuses, with reduced extra damage to Gloo Walls.”

  • M60: Upgrades now increase damage directly.
    • M60-I: Damage +5%
    • M60-II: Damage +10%
    • M60-III: Damage +15%

“M249 is known for its high damage, and it will receive a boost to damage dealt to Gloo Walls in this patch.”

  • M249: Extra damage to Gloo Walls +10%.

Charge Buster
“As a unique airdrop shotgun, Charge Buster has underperformed recently. We’ve increased its damage and charge speed for better output.”

  • Charge Buster: Charge Speed +12%, Damage +5%.

Trogon
“The grenade mode gives Trogon an advantage in chaotic battles. To balance it, we’ve reduced its grenade magazine size.”

  • Trogon: Grenade Launcher Magazine (4 → 2).

Double Vector/Vector
“Double Vector’s slow reload speed has made it less popular. We’ve improved its reload speed for better uptime in battle.”

  • Double Vector/Vector: Reload Speed +15%.

Special Adjustments

“M24 and SVD-Y can penetrate Gloo Walls but have low penetration damage. We’ll enhance their Gloo Wall penetration while reducing extra damage as a trade-off.”

  • SVD-Y: Extra damage to Gloo Walls removed, Gloo Wall penetration damage +5%.
  • M24: Extra damage to Gloo Walls removed, Gloo Wall penetration damage +20%.
